The long-rumored and never released second Teenager album, Bee & Butterfly. Comprised of another carefully selected half-hour of tracks from the archives, some of which dating back all the way to a 14-year old Brian scraping away in his highschool bedroom in 1997. These are songs that were important then, although as the years have pressed forward, their original context has been lost, their once bright strums now eroded down below the stormy mercy of aging cassette tape. Still, there are melodies strong enough to shine through all the dirt, and they slowly come back to me like foggy memories of a time that feels more like another life entirely. Bee & Butterfly is yet another aching walk down the streets I grew up on, and is both a precursor to the music I had yet to imagine, and a document of the music I shared with hardly anyone.
